Dr. Jemma Ryde
Meet Dr. Ryde
Dr. Jemma Ryde was born in the UK, growing up in Hertfordshire - just outside of London. She studied Veterinary Medicine at the University of Bristol, with an intercalated master’s degree in Global Wildlife Health and Conservation. She graduated in 2023 and has been with us ever since!
Jemma has a special interest in equine medicine, having spent most of her childhood on horseback, competing to a high-level in British Eventing. Jemma’s other passion is exotics medicine. She grew up with a whole mix of exotic pets, ranging from snakes, to tarantulas, to chinchillas (and more)!
Jemma chose to move to Creston in 2023, straight after graduating and immediately fell in love with the valley and the community. When not at work, you’ll likely find Jemma out in the mountains running, hiking and paddle boarding. She fell in love with trail running after moving out here and even ran her first ultramarathon in October 2024!
Jemma is so excited to be part of the Creston community and loves meeting new faces and new animals! She can’t wait to explore more of Creston and BC.
